Two new padel courts are being built at Active Tribe Courtown Adventure and Leisure, with the courts expected to be complete by this summer.
Foundations are now in place for the first padel courts in north Wexford, which will be open for children’s classes, coaching sessions and recreational use.
Padel is a mixture between tennis and squash and although it is played using the same scoring system as tennis, it is always played in doubles on an enclosed court. Although these courts will be the first in north Wexford, there are other padel courts in Wexford including the courts at Rosslare’s Community and Sports Centre and at Kelly’s Resort in Rosslare.
